Position Summary: As a Lucknow Biryani Chef, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting Lucknowi biryani dishes with authenticity and precision. You will contribute to menu development, maintain high standards of food quality and hygiene, and ensure smooth kitchen operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Biryani Preparation:
  • Prepare Lucknowi biryani dishes according to traditional recipes and established standards.
  • Ensure that all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and used efficiently.
  • Monitor cooking processes to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Menu Development:
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to innovate and enhance our biryani menu offerings.
  • Suggest new dishes or variations to attract and satisfy customers' preferences.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and incorporate new techniques or ingredients as appropriate.
  • Kitchen Operations:
  • Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
  • Supervise kitchen staff to ensure adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, following health and safety guidelines.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct regular inspections of food supplies and equipment to ensure quality and functionality.
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain consistency in taste and appearance.
  • Address any issues or concerns regarding food quality promptly and effectively.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the restaurant management team to meet customer expectations and operational goals.
  • Provide training and guidance to kitchen staff on biryani preparation techniques and standards.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Biryani Chef or similar role, preferably specializing in Lucknowi cuisine.
  • In-depth knowledge of traditional Lucknowi biryani recipes, spices, and cooking techniques.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification from a recognized institution is desirable.
  • Strong passion for food and dedication to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
