Job Purpose
The Regional Head is a senior leadership position responsible for defining and executing the strategic roadmap for the IoT business within the assigned region.This role carries full new acquistion and revenue accountability, focusing on driving sustainable growth, identifying high-impact new use cases and overseeing the regional business development team. As a strategic leader, you will be responsible for scaling the business, managing key stakeholder relationship and ensuring the region overachieves all the set goals.
Key Result Areas / Accountabilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a multi-year regional growth strategy for IoT Business that aligns with organization goals.
- Revenue & Acquistion Accountability: Take full ownership of Regions Gross Net and Revenue targets.
- New Use Cases : Lead the identification and execution of large-scale new use cases , thereby creating alternate set of revenue streams.
- Team Management: Provide direct leadership and mentorship to a team of Business Development Managers (BDMs). Set KPIs, monitor performance, and foster a high-performance sales culture.
- Market Analysis & Expansion: Conduct deep-dive market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activity, and new vertical opportunities to maintain a competitive advantage.
- High-Level Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strategic relationships with C-level executives at key client organizations and regional partners.
- Business Planning: Lead the annual business planning process for the region, including financial forecasting, resource allocation, and market segmentation.
Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience
- Strategic Vision & Execution: The ability to look 2–3 years ahead, predicting market shifts in IOT connectivity.
- Vertical-Specific Domain Expertise: Deep technical and commercial understanding of the IoT ecosystem, including connectivity, hardware, and platform-as-a-service models.
- Account Management :12 to 15 years of account management experience
Educational Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field and MBA from a reputed institution.
