Job Summary: We are looking for a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at our new vegetarian restaurant in Rajouri Garden, New Delhi. The ideal candidate will be passionate about vegetarian cuisine, have a strong culinary background, and be capable of supporting the Head Chef in all kitchen operations. The Sous Chef will be responsible for ensuring the quality, taste, and presentation of our dishes while maintaining high standards of kitchen hygiene and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities.
• Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality and consistency.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of kitchen staff, including training and scheduling.
• Manage kitchen inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items.
• Monitor and maintain kitchen hygiene and cleanliness according to health and safety standards.
• Develop new menu items and specials in collaboration with the Head Chef.
• Oversee portion control and waste management to optimize food cost.
• Handle and resolve any kitchen issues or emergencies in the absence of the Head Chef.

Qualifications:

·        2yrs experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role

·        Bachelors or diploma in hotel management

·        Strong knowledge of vegetarian cuisine and culinary techniques.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
