Assistant Manager

About the Job: 

  • Business Analyst role for Life and Annuity Insurance Transition - technical and non-technical Projects.
  • PoC for the development requirements of Insurance applications iterations and support for Testing team activities in BA capacity. 
  • Coordinator in bringing together different stakeholders and teams to achieve common goals in the best interest of the organization. 
  • Documentation Specialist for the requirements and agreements in relation to the project as per industry standards. 



  • Should engage with all stakeholders in driving the workshops, requirement elicitation process, define future state for the business process, propose the solutions and co-ordinate with technical team in implementing and delivering it.
  • Work closely with Business Owner as IT consultant in solutions system errors and making configurations updates at a product level. Establishes and maintains a close-working relationship with all project stakeholders to ensure alignment between solutions being delivered to business goals.
  • Responsible for business analyst deliverables like Process flows, Business Requirements Documents, Fit-GAP documents and Functional Design Documents.
  • Perform AS-IS state analysis from functional as well as technical perspective.
  • Should be liaison between Business users and Development and Testing Team.
  • Responsible for arranging and driving interviews, workshops, and/or analyzing the existing systems documentation or procedures in requirement gathering phase.
  • Work closely with Business Owner as IT consultant in enterprise analysis, requirements gathering & converting the requirements to best suitable design.
  • To gain buy-in of the KBRS.
  • Support UAT and End user Training.
  • Prepare reports and effectively communicate the status and progress of the assigned projects and activities to the respective stakeholders. 
  • Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements.
  • Adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications.


Experience, Skills and Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor of Technology or Bachelor of Engineering in computer science, IT or related areas or MBA in Business Analytics/Data Analytics/PM/Finance. 
  • Candidate should have transnational customer exposure experience of at least 5 years. 
  • Should have exposure in preparing business analyst deliverables such as Process flows, Business Requirements Documents, Fit-GAP documents and Functional Design Documents.
  • Business Analyst experience in Insurance (Across modules like New Business, Policy Servicing, Claims, Commissions, Accounting etc in the Health Insurance or Life and Annuity domain)
  • Expert level knowledge of IT Business Analyst tools and techniques is required.
  • Should be proficient with using the tools like JIRA, Visio/Adonis/Bizagi, MS Office etc.
  • Experience in Agile and Waterfall development lifecycle. 
  • Expert level of knowledge in SQL and database management is desirable.
  • Should be able to work independently and proactively, taking up responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Having exposure to product life cycle management and application migration would be an advantage.
  • Good working knowledge in ACORD standards for life insurance.
  • Good Knowledge of Product Configuration on Insurance Policy Admin System
