Director - Business Consulting (Supply Chain & Operations)

EY-Parthenon is looking for a Director for our Building Material and Industrials practice. The role provides an opportunity to be part of the team which assist businesses in setting strategic goals and identifying the steps to meet them along with supporting them in implementation of the plan/strategy. This role would involve analysing industry dynamics such as market size, growth, and share of leading competitors, identify the business’ unique competitive advantage and help create alignment among all business units and functions to support and enhance this positioning. Team offers clients with Business Model Reinvention, New Market Entry Opportunities and Digital Strategy and Innovation.

Your key responsibilities:

1. Manage end-to-end engagement delivery/ execution with high quality and timely deliverables
2. Primary delivery responsibility in the execution of Commercial Due Diligences, Growth and Diversification strategy and Business Transformation engagements for private equity and corporate clients
3. Lead creation of various business development initiatives such as preparation of pitch documents, industry notes, scope of work, etc
4. Establish robust client relationships leading to better service quality and repeat business
5. Demonstrate highest quality of industry and functional expertise
6. Ensure compliance to the firm’s standards, processes and policies
7. Develop thought leadership and knowledge artifacts on relevant sectors

Required Skills and Attributes for success:

1. Expertise in the areas listed - Business Strategy/ Sales Acceleration / Route to Market/Growth strategy/ Digital Transformation/ Go-To-Market strategy
2. Experience in delivering business strategy and diligence projects in complex environments
3. Client relationship management and account management skills
4. Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
5. Ability to develop / customize solutions relevant to client
6. Desire to contribute and succeed in a fun, exciting, collegial, and challenging environment
7. Strong financial skills and clarity of financial concepts
8. Advanced knowledge of MS basic and other research tools - Excel, Power Point, Power BI/ Tableau, Refinitiv, Bloomberg, EMIS etc.
9. Willingness to travel within India and abroad
10. Team Player and excellent people management skills
11. Planning, Inventory management, network planning, etc.
12. Exposure to Maths, Statistics, Combinatorics & Optimization, R, Excel etc.

To qualify for the role you must have:

1. MBA from a premier institute (Tier-I Indian B-school) or Chartered Accountant with a focus on delivery of consulting projects in a professional services environment
2. Preferred : 10+ years of professional experience (post MBA) preferably from Consulting
3. In-depth domain knowledge and expertise in one of the Building Material and Industrial sectors
