The role includes assessing student interests, providing information on courses and institutions, assisting with admissions processes, and offering ongoing academic support. The counselor helps students achieve their educational goals by offering personalized counseling and accurate information.

• Key ResponsibilitiesStudent CounselingProvide one-on-one counseling sessions to understand students’ academic background, interests, and career goals.
• Guide students in selecting suitable courses, programs, and institutions.
• Assist students in developing academic plans and timelines.
• Admissions & Application SupportExplain admission requirements, eligibility criteria, application procedures, and deadlines.
• Assist with application form completion, document preparation, and submission.
• Support students in scholarship and financial aid guidance.
• Career GuidanceProvide students with information on career opportunities, job trends, and industry demands.
• Conduct career planning workshops, seminars, and group sessions.
• Information ManagementMaintain up-to-date knowledge of educational programs, institutions, exams, and admission policies.
• Keep accurate records of student interactions, progress, and counseling sessions.
• Communication & OutreachConduct presentations and orientation programs for students and parents.
• Participate in education fairs, school visits, and promotional events.
• Collaborate with academic departments, faculty, and external institutions.
• Student SupportProvide guidance on time management, study techniques, and academic challenges.
• Address student concerns professionally and maintain confidentiality.
• Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Proven experience as an education counselor, academic advisor, or similar role.
• Knowledge of academic systems, courses, and admission processes.
• Skills & CompetenciesStrong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy, active listening, and student-centered approach.
• Ability to analyze student needs and offer tailored guidance.
• Organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Familiarity with education portals, CRM tools, and MS Office.
