Job Description
- HR Manager (Hotels) – Roles and Responsibilities1. Recruitment & Staffing Identify manpower requirements for all hotel departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Kitchen, Security, etc.).
- Source, interview, and hire qualified staff to maintain service standards.
- Manage onboarding, joining formalities, and induction programs.
- 2. Employee Relations Maintain a positive work environment to ensure team harmony.
- Address employee grievances professionally and resolve conflicts.
- Promote a culture of respect, teamwork, and service excellence.
- 3. Training & DevelopmentConduct orientation for new employees.
- Organize regular training sessions on guest service, grooming, safety, and soft skills.
- Monitor performance and ensure continuous skill development.
- 4. Attendance & Payroll Management Manage attendance, leaves, and shift scheduling.
- Coordinate with accounts for salary processing, payroll inputs, and compliance.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of employee records.
- 5. Performance Management Set KPIs for different hotel roles.
- Conduct performance appraisals and provide feedback.
- Identify high performers and plan growth opportunities.
- 6. Policy Implementation & Compliance Implement HR policies as per industry standards and company guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, safety regulations, and hotel SOPs.
- Maintain updated documentation like contracts, ID proofs, and statutory records.
- 7. Employee Engagement Plan engagement activities to boost morale (festive events, awards, team-building).
- Encourage a productive and motivated workforce.
- Reduce employee turnover through retention strategies.
- 8. Disciplinary Management Handle misconduct, disciplinary actions, and warnings fairly.
- Ensure hotel rules and service standards are consistently followed.
- 9. Safety & Hygiene Oversight Monitor staff hygiene, grooming standards, and safety practices.
- Collaborate with departments to maintain a safe working environment.
- 10. Coordination & Communication Act as a bridge between employees and senior management.
- Coordinate with department heads for staffing and operational needs.
- Support management in strategic planning and organizational development.
