Job Description

Technical Services Engineer Expert

Job Responsibilities:Operational support of customer servers and applications including proactive monitoring, incident resolution, performs standard and non-standard changes. Ensure smooth and efficient customer operations maximising customer satisfaction.Active monitoring of change and incident queues.Attend service calls and answer queries from customers and management.Resolve incidents and s within service level agreements (SLAs).Identify inefficient procedures or processes and suggest improvements for implementation.Prepare and maintain documentation of systems and applications supported by the team. This includes operation procedures and setup.Build, review and implement changes following Change Management process.Attend change meetings to present the teams change requests, as needed.Submit reports for incidents, s, Service Requests, changes, others.Submit change report for achievements, issues, plans, others.Completion and submission of periodic reports (i. e.: monthly, quarterly) to Service Delivery Managers on time as required by the contract.Perform user and system security tasks.Perform and remediate system health checks.Work and communicate well with other team members._______________________________What Do We Want From You?Proactive mindset, ability to work unsupervised.Expertise in maintaining medium to large enterprise deployments of WebSphere Application Server and HTTP (Web) Server (i.e. IBM HTTP Server, Apache, iPlanet Web Server, IIS).Experience in maintaining Oracle WebLogic and Oracle HTTP server.Expertise on clustering solutions with WebSphere Application Server.Expertise in maintaining medium to large enterprise deployments of Service Oriented Architecture using WebSphere Process Server, WebSphere Portal Server and WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus/IIB is a plus.Expertise in maintaining medium to large enterprise deployments of WebSphere MQ is a plus.Experience in the Tibco suite of products, primarily BusinessWorks and EMS is a plus.Programming and scripting skills which includes Perl, bash, ksh.Understanding of Network Essentials.Experience on system administration and support of Solaris, Linux or AIX is desirable.Capacity planning and reporting skills on WebSphere products.Experience in ITIL Service Delivery Framework.Current certification on WebSphere products: Process Server, Portal Server, Application Server or WebSphere MQ is an advantage.Industry certification on Solaris or Linux or AIX is a bonus.
