Job Description
- Conducting site investigations to assess project feasibility
- Preparing detailed engineering designs and plans
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams including surveyors, architects, and contractors
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Developing cost estimates and budgets for projects
- Overseeing construction activities and providing technical guidance
- Performing risk assessments and identifying mitigation strategies
- Reviewing and approving design modifications and changes
- Managing project timelines and ensuring timely completion
- Conducting traffic flow and safety analysis
- Providing support during project bidding and procurement processes
- Collaborating with local, state, and federal agencies
- Utilizing engineering software and tools for design and simulation
- Preparing and presenting project reports and documentation
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
- Experience with advanced CAD software
- Specialization in transportation engineering
- Knowledge of environmental regulations
- Strong project management skills
- Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or ability to obtain within a year
- Proficiency in CAD software and design tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in highway and transportation design
- Knowledge of construction methods and materials
- Understanding of relevant building codes and regulations
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
