Interior Designer

About the Role

We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and client-friendly Interior Designer to join our modular kitchen and interior design showroom. The candidate will be responsible for handling walk-in clients, understanding their requirements, designing layouts, and coordinating with the production team for project execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Interaction & Consultation

Greet and attend walk-in clients at the showroom.

Understand customer requirements, space measurements, lifestyle needs, design preferences, and budgets.

Explain modular furniture concepts, materials, finishes, hardware, brands, and pricing.

Present design ideas, mood boards, and material samples.

2. Designing & Planning

Create modular kitchen, wardrobe, TV unit, full home interior layouts.

Prepare 2D drawings, 3D views, elevations, and BOQs.

Work on AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3Ds Max, or any relevant design software.

Ensure designs are practical, cost-friendly, and aligned with production standards.

3. Site & Execution Coordination

Take accurate site measurements.

Conduct site visits during installation and ensure smooth execution.

Coordinate with carpenters, factory team, vendors, and installation supervisors.

Handle changes, revisions, and client feedback professionally.

4. Sales Support

Prepare quotations based on designs.

Assist in closing sales with the sales team.

Guide clients in selecting laminates, finishes, accessories, appliances, lighting, etc.

5. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain client records, design files, and project updates.

Ensure timely communication between showroom, production, and site teams.

Prepare work status reports and follow up with clients regularly.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of modular kitchens & modular furniture.

Good understanding of interior materials, laminates, veneers, boards, hardware, appliances, etc.

Excellent communication & client-handling skills.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar design tools.

Space planning & technical detailing skills.
