Head - Electrical

Project Planning

 Prepare electrical BOQ, load calculations, and system planning for Modular OT & ICU

projects.

 Prepare SLD (Single Line Diagrams), panel layouts, and cable schedules.

 Coordinate with HVAC, Cleanroom, MGPS, and IBMS systems.

Execution & Site Management

 Lead electrical execution for:

o UPS systems

o Isolation Power Supply (IPS) for OT

o Medical grade earthing

o OT control panels

o Lighting systems (OT lights & cleanroom lights)

o Power distribution panels

 Supervise electrical contractors & technicians.

 Ensure installation as per hospital electrical standards. 

Testing & Commissioning

 Prepare testing & commissioning reports. 

BOQ Preparation & Costing

The Head – Electrical shall be responsible for preparing and validating the detailed electrical BOQ

for all projects based on approved layouts and design drawings.

Scope of BOQ Preparation

The BOQ shall include:

1. Electrical Cabling

 Power cables (LT/HT if applicable)

 UPS cabling

 OT control panel cabling

 Lighting cables

 Data / ELV cables (where applicable)

 Cable trays & raceways

2. Electrical Panels

 Main LT panel

 Sub distribution panels (SDP)

 UPS panels

 Isolation Power Supply (IPS) panels for OT

 OT control panels

 Cleanroom lighting control panels

3. Earthing System

4. Lighting Systems

5. Power Points & Fixtures

6. Cable Management

Testing & Commissioning Items

 Electrical testing

 Insulation resistance testing

 Earth resistance testing

Additional Duties Related to BOQ

The Electrical Head should also:

 Provide value engineering options

 Assist purchase department in technical comparison

 Approve vendor BOQ deviations

 Track site quantity consumption vs BOQ

Essential Technical Knowledge

Candidate should have experience in:

 Hospital electrical systems will be an advantage

 OT isolation power panels

 Medical IT earthing

 UPS systems

 Lighting systems

 HT/LT distribution

 DG synchronization

 Fire alarm integration

 BMS / IBMS coordination

Experience Requirement

 Experienced candidates will be preferred

 Backgroud in hospital / healthcare projects will be an advantage

 Handling multiple sites simultaneously
