• To monitor and provide medical treatment of critically ill patient in a “shift duty” coverage. • To be present at all relevant clinical rounds. • Completion of the records of the patients. • To prepare patient for procedures. • To follow departmental guidelines relating to routine clinical duties in the ICU. • To perform routine and emergency clinical procedures as indicated. • To provide acute resuscitation for trauma and other emergencies when requested from EMS and other hospital wards. • To examine the patients, order investigations and prescribe treatment if necessary, and to update patient records. • To do any other work assigned to him by HOD and Medical Director. • To actively participate in all training & educational activities and educational activities • To abide with all hospital infection control practices in ICU. Departmental meetings: • Should attend ward rounds. • Should attend all the associated meetings like CME’s, etc.
