Lead - Microfinance/Lead - Microfinance

Job PurposeLead a team responsible for leveraging Business Intelligence and Analytics to get insights that can be used by Service and Operations teams to improve processes and service levels.
Duties and Responsibilities1. Planning  Engage with the Business Teams to understand their pain points and data needs. Create roadmap of specific tasks & initiatives that the team needs to work on. Cascade the tasks and initiatives to the team.  Get feedback and conduct reviews on whether the team is enabling the Service & Operations teams achieve their KRAs – reduce costs, increase customer satisfaction etc. Plan for changes in approach or methodology.2. Business intelligence Supervise the team in looking at the availability and feasibility of data for specific business needs. Where data is not available, work with the IT team to determine the right data source and establish the data pipeline. Guide the team in understanding the specific data templates and dashboards required by the business teams.  Review the dashboards created by the team and discuss with business to finalise. Monitor regularity and accuracy of data flow to the business teams.3. Analytics In discussion with business teams, ideate and identify opportunities to leverage analytics to achieve business priorities like reducing costs, improving customer satisfaction etc. Identify specific use cases.  Guide the team in generating selecting the right analytics model, generating the hypothesis and reviewing output to ensure that it is accurate and usable by business teams. Work with the team on productionising the models. Where required, work with the AI & ML teams and/ or external vendors to automate the models and drive implementation. After a period of time, transfer the ownership of the model to the business team. Ensure that the team addresses issues on data usability and suggest solutions, where required4. Team management and coaching Participate in selection process to identify the right talent for positions within the team Determine individual training needs and development plans to build expertise and enhance skills in the team  Set objectives, conduct reviews and close appraisal processes for the team as per timelines
Key Decisions / Dimensions Prioritizing amongst the various requests that come from the business teams.  Work allocation within the team. Choice of external partners for analytics.
Major Challenges There is a need ton work with a large number of stakeholders across business, IT and other departments. There is often no clear ownership or single source of data. The team needs to understand requirements from both a technical and functional standpoint; so there is significant amount of guidance and handholding required.
Required Qualifications and Experiencea) Qualifications Minimum Qualification: BE/ BTech, MBA preferredb) Work Experience Minimum 10 years of experience  Should have a background in analytics, in the BFSI industry Ideally, should have worked across different businesses and products
