Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary: The Mechanical Designer will be responsible for designing, developing, and detailing mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD software. The role involves working closely with engineers and project teams to create accurate 2D drawings and 3D models that meet functional, aesthetic, and manufacturing requirements.

• Key Responsibilities: Create and modify 3D models and detailed drawings using software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo.
• Prepare fabrication, assembly, and installation drawings with accurate dimensions and tolerances.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop new product designs and improve existing products.
• Review and interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and project requirements.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company guidelines.
• Support prototyping and testing activities by providing design input and modifications.
• Maintain proper documentation and revision control of design files.
• Coordinate with vendors and manufacturing teams for material selection and feasibility.
• Participate in design review meetings and provide innovative design solutions.
• Qualifications and Skills: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in mechanical design or drafting (entry-level roles may also be considered).
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or CATIA.
• Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal, and fabrication.
• Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Preferred: Experience in product design, automation equipment, or industrial machinery.
• Familiarity with BOM (Bill of Materials) and ERP systems.
