Job Responsibilities:          Install ,configure and Monitoring MS SQLserver 2008/2008R2/2012/2014, IBM DB2          Ensure all database servers are backed up in a way that meets the business’s Recovery Point Objectives (RPO)          Test backups to ensure we can meet the business’ Recovery Time Objectives (RTO)          Troubleshoot SQL Server, IBM DB2 service outages as they occur, including after hours and weekends          Configure SQL Server, IBM DB2 monitoring/alert utilities          Configure Always ON, clustering, log shipping, mirroring, Replication          SQL Server merge, IBM DB2 peer to peer, or transactional replication (Must have)          Database Mirroring and Log shipping          Deploy database change scripts provided by Development team          When performance issues arise, determine the most effective way to increase performance including hardware purchases, server configuration changes, or index/query changes          Document the company’s database environment          Good to have knowledge (Analysis Services, Integration Services, or Reporting Services)          Solid acquaintance with windows server, security delegation, SPNs, storage components.          Documentation skills for processes and procedures ( creating KBs, runbooks, topology etc )          Knowledge in a scripting language like Power shell, batch  Ready tp work in shifts i.e. 24/7 environment.
