Field Sales Executive - Merchant Credit Loan (Google Pay)Role

Overview:

As a Field Sales Executive for Google Pay's Merchant Credit Loan product, you will be responsible for promoting and facilitating the adoption of Google Pay’s merchant financing options to small and medium-sized businesses. You will work closely with merchants, demonstrating the value of credit products, and ensuring smooth onboarding for merchants seeking financial support to grow their businesses.

  • Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:


  • Identify and target potential merchant clients who can benefit from Google Pay's merchant credit products.
  • Build relationships with business owners, financial decision-makers, and key stakeholders to create partnerships.
  • Develop a sales pipeline by cold calling, networking, and leveraging referrals to generate leads.
  • Product Presentation & Education:

  • Educate merchants about Google Pay’s credit products, the application process, and the benefits of using Google Pay for financing.
  • Provide demos and presentations to explain product features and answer any questions regarding merchant credit loans.
  • Consultative Sales Approach:

  • Understand merchant needs and challenges, offering tailored financing solutions that align with their business goals.
  • Provide consultation and financial guidance to help merchants select the right loan products.
  • Sales Targets & Performance:

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs set by the company, focusing on new merchant enrollments for merchant credit loans.
  • Track progress and provide regular updates to the management team on sales activities, forecasts, and performance metrics.
  • Onboarding and Documentation:

  • Assist merchants with the application and onboarding process, ensuring all necessary documentation is provided and processed in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a smooth loan approval and disbursement process for merchants.
  • Relationship Management & Account Growth:

  • Maintain relationships with existing merchants, providing ongoing support and exploring opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional Google Pay products.
  • Resolve any issues or challenges faced by merchants regarding the loan product or services provided.
  • Market Insights & Feedback:

  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies.
  • Provide insights to the product and marketing teams to help improve the merchant credit loan offering and customer experience.
  • Key Skills & Qualifications:Sales Experience:

  • Proven experience in field sales, preferably within financial services, loans, or merchant services.
  • Familiarity with credit products or financial solutions for small businesses is a plus.
  • Excellent Communication Skills:

  • Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and effectively to non-experts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of clients.
  • Consultative Sales Skills:

  • Strong ability to listen to customers’ needs and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
  • Negotiation Skills:

  • Comfortable negotiating terms and conditions with business owners to close deals.
  • Tech-Savvy:

  • Proficiency with digital tools and platforms; experience with Google Pay or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Self-Motivated & Goal-Oriented:

  • Ability to work independently, manage your own schedule, and hit performance targets.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities:

  • Ability to resolve issues that may arise during the loan process and work toward finding solutions for merchants.
  • Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience in sales in the fintech or payments industry.
  • Knowledge of business financials and loan processes.
  • Experience in handling merchant relationships and understanding of the SMB (Small and Medium Business) market.
  • Location:Local travel to meet with clients within a designated region.
  • Flexible work arrangements depending on the region.
  • Compensation:Fixed salary + performance-based commission.
