Lead - Mechanical Boiler (Pressure Parts)
Responsibilities
Lead Mechanical Boiler (Pressure Parts)
Operational Oversight and Resource Allocation:
Perform execution of assigned maintenance tasks as per the resource plan for boiler components (Pressure Parts).
Ensure the availability and reliability of boiler equipment, including pressure parts, valves, APH, FGD equipment, pipes, and supports.
Execute predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance with adherence to the maintenance schedules.
Coordinate maintenance activities during outages, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimal downtime.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the boiler area.
Support team leads and section heads in emergency response and handling.
Participate in structural trainings and audits for the boiler area.
Provide comprehensive safety training to contractors, ensuring timely updates are recorded in the KRONOS system.
Documentation and Quality Assurance:
Draft and refine Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMPs) for review and implementation.
Execute the management of equipment history records.
Uphold the integrity of maintenance documentation and records for future reference and compliance.
Prepare reports for RCA, FMEA, BTL, ZFO, Technical audits, as well as AOH and COH, based on inputs from Team Leads and Section Heads.
Prepare NFAs and PR approval sheets, as guided by Section Head.
Prepare different MIS reports such as safety MIS, ORM/SRM, Legatrix reports, etc.
Budget and Inventory Management:
Contribute to budgeting processes with accurate maintenance and operational insights.
Issue necessary spares and materials from stores, ensuring timely availability for maintenance tasks.
Raise PRs as directed and follow up with Team Leads for approvals.
Manage the inventory of spares, insulation sheets, and refractory materials, managing annual requirements.
Assist with attendance and resource quantity verification to optimize manpower and material use.
Execute maintenance activities within allocated budgets, emphasizing cost-effectiveness and resource conservation.
Business Sustainability:
Implement and follow IMS, AWMS, DISHA and CHETNA guidelines within the department
Enforce safety protocols during maintenance execution in alignment with CHETNA guidelines.
Maintain strict adherence to safety compliances and initiatives as part of the company's safety drives.
Confirm and document compliance with safety standards as per GENSUITE requirements.
Digitization and Automation:
Support comprehensive digitization strategies to optimise operational efficiency.
Innovate and implement automation solutions to support overall organisational goals / strategy.

Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
B.tech/BE in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
Work Experience (Range of years):
4+ years of experience in boiler maintenance within a power plant or similar industrial setting.
Preferred Industry:
Experience in the thermal power generation industry, particularly with exposure to boiler maintenance and mechanical systems.
