Civil Site Engineer

• The Civil Site Engineer shall be responsible for planning, execution, supervision, monitoring, and quality control of all civil construction activities at the project site. The engineer will ensure that the work is executed as per approved drawings, technical specifications, contract conditions, quality standards, and project timelines. Supervise construction activities related to:
• Water Treatment Plants (WTP)
• Pump Houses
• Overhead Tanks (OHT)
• Elevated Service Reservoirs (ESR)
• Underground Sumps and Clear Water Reservoirs (CWR)
• Distribution Pipeline Networks
• Rising Main Pipelines
• Valve Chambers and Appurtenant Structures
• Ensure execution as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor daily site activities and deployment of manpower, machinery, and materials.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors for smooth project execution.
• Ensure adherence to project schedules and milestones.

Surveying & Layout

• Carry out site surveys and setting out works.
• Verify benchmarks, levels, coordinates, and alignments.
• Establish pipeline routes and structure locations.
• Check excavation depth, foundation levels, and structural dimensions.

Quality Control & Assurance

• Ensure compliance with approved Quality Assurance Plan (QAP).
• Monitor quality of concrete, reinforcement, shuttering, masonry, and finishing works.
• Conduct and witness field tests and laboratory tests.
• Maintain records of cube tests, material testing, and quality reports.
• Ensure compliance with IS Codes, CPHEEO Guidelines, and project specifications.

Pipeline Construction Monitoring

• Supervise excavation, bedding, pipe laying, jointing, thrust blocks, and backfilling activities.
• Ensure proper alignment and gradient of pipelines.
• Monitor hydrostatic pressure testing and commissioning activities.
• Verify installation of valves, chambers, air valves, scour valves, and fittings.

Measurement & Billing

• Record daily measurements and site progress.
• Prepare Measurement Books (MB).
• Assist in preparation of contractor and client bills.
• Verify quantities executed at site.
• Maintain work progress records and DPRs.

Material Management

• Verify incoming materials as per approved specifications.
• Maintain material consumption records.
• Monitor inventory and site stock levels.
• Prevent material wastage and losses.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and site regulations.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Report unsafe conditions and incidents immediately.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR).
• Prepare Weekly and Monthly Progress Reports.
• Maintain site registers and documentation.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, and government authorities.
• Maintain photographic records of project progress.

Technical Skills :-

• Knowledge of Water Supply Project Execution.
• Understanding of IS Codes and CPHEEO Manual.
• AutoCAD and drawing interpretation.
• Quantity estimation and rate analysis.
• MS Excel, MS Word, and project reporting.
• Knowledge of surveying instruments such as Total Station, Auto Level, and GPS.
