Lead Safety

Job Description: Safety Lead (4–10 Years Experience) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Safety Lead to oversee workplace safety practices, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive a strong safety culture across operations. The ideal candidate will have 4–10 years of experience in industrial safety, risk assessment, and safety management systems.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and implement the company’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) programs across all sites.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
• Develop, implement, and update HSE policies, SOPs, and emergency response plans.
• Deliver safety training programs, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for employees and contractors.
• Investigate incidents/accidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national HSE regulations and standards.
• Maintain documentation for safety audits, training records, permits, and compliance reports.
• Coordinate with project, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure safe execution of all activities.
• Monitor the use of PPE, safety equipment, and adherence to safe work practices.
• Support external audits and liaise with regulatory authorities when required.
• Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Safety, Environment, or a related field.
• 4–10 years of experience in industrial safety (manufacturing, construction, engineering, EPC, oil & gas, automotive, or similar industries).
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, safety standards, and statutory compliance.
• Certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, Diploma in Industrial Safety are highly preferred.
• Experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits.
• Good understanding of Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems and safe work procedures.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and training skills.
• Preferred Skills (Good to Have)Experience in behavior-based safety (BBS) programs.
• Knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
• Exposure to construction safety, crane/lifting safety, or confined space operations.
• Ability to influence and promote a strong safety culture.
