Packing Supervisor

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and experienced Packing In-Charge to lead and supervise the packing operations for our self-drilling screws manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth, efficient, and accurate packing processes while maintaining the highest standards of quality, quantity, and productivity. This role is critical to ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled correctly and on time.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the day-to-day packing operations to ensure smooth and uninterrupted functioning of the packing department.

Ensure the correct quantity, type, and quality of self-drilling screws are packed as per production orders and packing specifications.

Monitor packing accuracy to prevent under-packing, over-packing, or mixing of different screw specifications.

Manage, supervise, and lead the packing workforce (packers and helpers), including assigning daily targets, monitoring performance, and maintaining discipline.

Train new packing staff on proper packing procedures, safety norms, and quality standards.

Implement and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for packing.

Coordinate with the production team to ensure timely availability of finished screws for packing.

Conduct regular checks and audits of packed boxes/cartons before dispatch.

Maintain daily packing reports, stock records, and productivity logs.

Identify bottlenecks in the packing process and take corrective actions to improve efficiency.

Ensure proper housekeeping, safety, and cleanliness standards are maintained in the packing area.

Take full ownership and responsibility for the overall performance and output of the packing section.

Report any issues related to material shortage, machine problems, or workforce concerns to the superiors promptly.

Basic knowledge of self-drilling screws or fasteners (preferred).

Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum 3–5 years of experience in packing operations, preferably in manufacturing (fasteners, screws, hardware, or engineering goods industry preferred).

Previous experience as a Packing Supervisor / In-Charge will be an advantage.

Minimum education: 10+2 / Diploma in any stream (Engineering background preferred).

Basic computer knowledge (MS Office – Excel, Word) for report generation.
