Job Title: Project Electrical Engineer
Location: Manjalpur
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Project Manager / Engineering Manager
Job Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Project Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and management of electrical systems in a variety of projects, from inception to completion. This role involves collaborating with other engineering teams, managing project timelines, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and overseeing electrical installations and testing.
- Key Responsibilities :
- Electrical System Design & Development:
- Design electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and other infrastructure systems.
- Prepare electrical engineering designs, specifications, and layouts.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC, local codes).
- Project Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee electrical aspects of projects.
- Prepare and maintain project schedules, budgets, and reports.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders including contractors, vendors, and clients.
- Monitor the progress of the project and ensure timely completion.
- Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Work closely with mechanical engineers, civil engineers, and other technical teams to integrate electrical systems into the broader design.
- Support the project team in resolving any electrical issues during construction and commissioning.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Ensure that electrical installations comply with safety standards and regulations.
- Perform site inspections, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Review and approve electrical drawings and documentation.
- Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation measures as needed.
- Procurement & Vendor Management:
- Assist in sourcing and managing electrical materials, equipment, and contractors.
- Ensure that all electrical components are procured within the project timeline and budget.
- Problem Solving & Troubleshooting:
- Identify and resolve electrical issues during construction, installation, and testing phases.
- Provide technical support during system startup and commissioning.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including design calculations, reports, and test results.
- Prepare progress reports for management and clients.
- Qualifications :
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred (or working towards it).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering or project management, with a focus on electrical systems.
- Proven experience in managing electrical projects in industries such as construction, energy, manufacturing, or utilities.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).
- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera).
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in renewable energy systems (e.g., solar, wind) or automation systems.
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
