Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Purchase mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, SS tubing, silicone tubing, and bought-out components.
- Take quotations from vendors and compare price, quality, delivery time, and payment terms.
- Prepare purchase orders and follow up for timely material delivery.
- Coordinate with production, stores, accounts, and vendors.
- Identify new vendors and develop reliable supplier sources.
- Check material specifications as per BOM, drawings, and technical requirements.
- Handle urgent purchase requirements for machine assembly and service.
- Maintain vendor records, quotation comparisons, purchase records, and pending material lists.
- Support cost reduction without compromising quality.
Required Skills:
- Basic technical knowledge of machine components and manufacturing materials.
- Ability to read BOMs, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Good negotiation and follow-up skills.
- Knowledge of MS Excel / ERP software preferred.
- Vendor development and local market sourcing experience preferred.
