CCTV Technician

• Installation:
• Conducting site surveys to determine security needs and equipment placement.
• Installing and mounting cameras, monitors, DVRs/NVRs, and other related equipment.
• Running and securing cables through buildings, including walls, floors, and ceilings.
• Integrating CCTV systems with other security components like alarms or access control.
• Maintenance and troubleshooting:
• Performing regular inspections and preventative maintenance on all system components.
• Diagnosing and repairing technical faults and malfunctions.
• Ensuring optimal system performance by adjusting and calibrating equipment.
• Configuration and management:
• Configuring systems to meet client specifications.
• Monitoring system performance and video feeds.
• Ensuring compliance with safety standards and security protocols.
• Maintaining detailed records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Client support:
• Providing technical support and training to clients on how to use and operate the system.
• Communicating with clients to understand their security requirements and recommend upgrades. 

Required skills

• Technical proficiency with CCTV, DVR, alarm, and network systems.
• Ability to read blueprints.
