
Dedicated Mentoring Program 2025
Description
Code for GovTech (C4GT), in collaboration with apna, brings you the Dedicated Mentoring Program (DMP) 2025—an opportunity for technology enthusiasts to work on open-source projects that drive large-scale social impact.
Participants will collaborate with experienced mentors, contribute to Digital Public Goods (DPGs) and open source tech building blocks, and gain hands-on experience solving real-world problems. Successful contributors will receive a stipend of INR 1,00,000 for 3 months.

How to Apply
- Register on apna – Click on ‘Register Now’ and fill in the required information.
- Fill out the Additional Information Form – Share some additional information by filling out the ‘Additional Information Form’ in the rounds section.
- Choose Your Track – You can submit your proposal for any or both of the available tracks. The available tracks are Coding & AI and Product Usability & UI/UX. You can submit up to three proposals in order of preference. You need to submit separate proposals for each preference. You can access all the projects here.
- Submit your Proposal – Use the official template to create your proposal for your preferred project and showcase why you are the best candidate for this project. You can refer to an ideal proposal here.
- Interview – You may be invited for an interview round or an additional assessment to vet your skills for the project.

Eligibility
- Open to college students, working professionals, and tech enthusiasts
- Participants must have relevant technical skills required for the project
- This is a remote opportunity, but travel may be required based on project needs
- Prior experience to open-source is a plus but not mandatory
- Participants must be available from mid-May to mid-September. Project setup and bootcamps will take place at the end of May. The main coding phase runs from June to September.
- During the coding phase, contributors should commit a minimum of 20 hours per week (may vary by project)

While you can submit a proposal for any project, we recommend checking this list of underrepresented projects where you may have a higher chance of selection.
