This round assesses the candidate's ability to design scalable and resilient systems, considering factors such as performance, security, and cost. It evaluates the candidate's understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud-native technologies.
How would you design a highly available and scalable system for handling a large volume of user requests? Consider factors such as load balancing, caching, and database optimization.
Explain your approach to monitoring and alerting in a distributed system. What metrics would you track, and how would you configure alerts to detect and respond to issues?
Describe your experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. How have you used these tools to improve application deployment and management?
