Job Description – Chartered Accountant (CA)

Roles and Responsibilities

1    TDS Compliance and Filing – Ensure proper deduction of TDS and timely filing of TDS returns as per Income Tax regulations.

2    GST Compliance and GSTR Filing – Preparation and filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and other applicable returns).

3    Debtors Reconciliation – Regular reconciliation of debtor accounts and monitoring outstanding receivables.

4    Creditors Reconciliation – Periodic reconciliation of creditor accounts and verification of payable balances.

5    Monthly Accounts Reconciliation – Reconciliation of bank accounts, ledgers, and other financial records.

6    Advance Tax Compliance – Calculation and timely payment of advance tax and other statutory tax liabilities.

7    Finalization of Accounts – Preparation and finalization of Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, and related schedules.

8    Handling Tax Notices – Drafting and submission of replies to Income Tax and GST department notices.

9    Audit Coordination – Coordination with Chartered Accountant and auditors for statutory, tax, and internal audits.

10 Supervision of Junior Accountant – Review and supervision of the work performed by the Junior Accountant.

11 Maintenance of Books of Accounts – Ensure proper maintenance of books of accounts and supporting financial records.

12 Financial Reporting and MIS – Preparation of periodic MIS reports and financial statements for management review.

13 Statutory Compliance – Ensure compliance with applicable provisions of Income Tax, GST, and other financial regulations.

14 Documentation and Record Keeping – Ensure proper documentation of financial transactions and statutory records in coordination with the Junior Accountant.

15 Support in Budgeting and Financial Planning – Assist management in budgeting, financial planning, and cost monitoring.
