Junior Production Assistant

Role Overview

The Junior Production Assistant will support the Engineering Manager and production team in day-to-day manufacturing activities related to parachute systems and aerospace soft-goods. The role is primarily shop-floor oriented and focuses on assisting production, maintaining process discipline, and supporting basic quality and documentation requirements in an AS9100D-compliant environment.

Key Responsibilities

Production Support

• Assist in production of parachute systems including cutting, sewing, assembly, packing, and inspection activities

• Follow approved work instructions, drawings, and process sheets

• Support daily production targets and timelines

Shop-Floor Coordination

• Assist supervisors and technicians in organising workstations and material flow

• Ensure tools, materials, and components are available as per production plans

• Escalate production or quality issues to the Engineering Manager

Quality & Documentation Support

• Maintain basic production records, checklists, and batch traceability documents

• Assist in filing and organising AS9100D-related documents

• Support QA/QC team during in-process and final inspections

Compliance & Housekeeping

• Follow safety, quality, and cleanliness standards on the production floor

• Ensure proper handling and storage of materials and finished goods

Qualification Requirements

Essential

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Textile Engineering / Production Engineering

or

• Fresh graduate in relevant technical discipline with interest in manufacturing

Desirable

• Exposure to manufacturing or shop-floor environments

• Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word, email)

• Ability to read basic technical drawings or work instructions
