Job Summary

Accountants prepare, analyze, and maintain financial records. They ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and help businesses make informed financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow)

Record daily financial transactions and update ledgers

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable

Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies

Prepare tax returns and ensure timely tax payments

Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards

Analyze financial data and provide insights to management

Assist in budgeting and forecasting

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Professional certifications (e.g., CA, CPA) are often preferred

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards

Proficiency in accounting software (like Tally, QuickBooks, or Excel)

Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Good communication and organizational skills
