Accountant

The Accountant is responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role involves preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, processing invoices, managing budgets, and assisting with audits and taxation. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and proficiency in accounting software.

• Key Responsibilities1. Financial AccountingRecord daily financial transactions and maintain accurate general ledger entries.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing.
• 2. Accounts Payable & ReceivableManage vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
• Monitor customer accounts, prepare bills/invoices, and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure timely settlements.
• 3. Banking & Cash ManagementHandle daily bank transactions, deposits, and reconciliations.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare periodic cash flow statements.
• Ensure proper internal controls over cash and bank operations.
• 4. Taxation & ComplianceAssist in preparing and filing GST, TDS, VAT, or other applicable tax returns.
• Support statutory audits, internal audits, and coordinate with auditors.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• 5. Reporting & AnalysisPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
