Job Description – Accountant

Location: Ahmedabad

Company Type: Small-scale / SME

Experience: 2–5 years preferred

Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / CA-Inter (preferred)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in Tally / accounting software
• Handle purchase, sales, journal, and cash/bank entries
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements
• Manage GST compliance – GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, reconciliation, and returns
• Prepare TDS calculations & returns
• Assist in finalization of accounts (monthly & yearly)
• Prepare profit & loss statements, balance sheet support
• Maintain vendor & customer ledgers and follow up on outstanding payments
• Handle invoicing, payment entries, and expense tracking
• Coordinate with CA / tax consultant for audits and statutory compliance
• Maintain proper documentation and records as per company policy

Key Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of Tally, GST, TDS, and basic taxation
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Good understanding of accounts finalization basics
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently in a small-team environment
• Preferred Candidate
• Experience in small or mid-size companies
• Familiar with local compliance practices in Gujarat
