Job Summary

An Assembly Fitter is responsible for assembling mechanical components, machinery parts, and equipment according to technical drawings and specifications. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble mechanical parts, components, and sub-assemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications.

Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to fit and assemble parts accurately.

Inspect assembled components to ensure proper fit, alignment, and functionality.

Perform adjustments and minor repairs during assembly.

Maintain quality standards and ensure products meet company specifications.

Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions.

Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.

Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.

Coordinate with supervisors and other team members to meet production targets.

Required Skills

Knowledge of mechanical assembly and fitting techniques.

Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documents.

Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.

Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

ITI / Diploma in Fitter, Mechanical, or related field.

1–3 years of experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing (preferred).

Basic understanding of safety standards and quality procedures.

Working Conditions

Work in manufacturing or workshop environment.

May require standing for long periods and handling mechanical parts.
