Job Description: Automation Engineer

Role Overview:

The Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, programming, and maintaining industrial automation systems to improve efficiency, quality, and reliability of manufacturing and process operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop PLC, HMI, and SCADA based automation systems
• PLC programming, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
• HMI/SCADA screen development and system integration
• Field commissioning, FAT/SAT support, and on-site troubleshooting
• Interfacing automation systems with drives, motors, sensors, instruments, and networks
• Prepare technical documentation, I/O lists, logic diagrams, and manuals
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and project teams
• Provide technical support to customers and internal teams

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma / BE / BTech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation
• Hands-on experience with PLCs .
• Experience in HMI/SCADA platforms
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, etc.)
• Ability to read electrical drawings and P&IDs
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with VFDs, servo drives, and motion control
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards
• Exposure to FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities

Job Location: As per project requirement

Experience: 0-2 years (flexible based on skill level)
