About the RoleWe are looking for a Junior WordPress Developer who will assist in building, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites. The developer will work closely with senior developers to implement features, fix bugs, integrate APIs, and support website maintenance. The ideal candidate should have basic experience with WordPress development, plugins, themes, WooCommerce, and frontend technologies and be eager to grow in a structured, learning‑oriented environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesWordPress Development

• Assist in developing and maintaining WordPress websites for clients.
• Customize themes and plugins to match design and functional requirements.
• Implement custom shortcodes and templates for reusable content blocks.
• Work with WordPress hooks, filters, and functions under the guidance of senior developers.

Plugin & Feature Implementation

• Support the customization and configuration of popular plugins such as Elementor and WooCommerce.
• Help implement small feature enhancements or modifications requested by clients or project managers.
• Follow documented workflows and best practices when extending existing plugins.

Frontend Development

• Implement UI/UX designs using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Convert design mockups into responsive, cross‑browser‑compatible templates compatible with WordPress structures.
• Assist in minor frontend bug fixes and styling issues in WordPress themes or page builder layouts.

WooCommerce Support

• Help configure WooCommerce products, categories, and basic settings.
• Assist in implementing simple custom pricing logic or conditional behavior where required.
• Support troubleshooting and fixing issues related to the checkout and cart areas.

API Integrations

• Assist in the integration of external APIs such as payment gateways, CRM tools, and other third‑party services.
• Help test APIs using tools like Postman and verify that responses are handled correctly in WordPress.
• Follow instructions and code examples from senior developers when connecting WordPress with external systems.

Bug Fixing & Maintenance

• Debug basic website issues related to functionality, layout, or performance.
• Help fix compatibility issues across browsers and devices.
• Support website migration, updates, and deployment processes under supervision.

Database & Data Handling

• Work with MySQL to understand and modify basic data structures from WordPress tables.
• Use WordPress functions such as get_user_meta, update_user_meta, and get_post_meta to read and store user or content‑related data.
• Follow best practices for data handling and ensure changes are tested before going live.

Required SkillsTechnical Skills

• Basic knowledge of WordPress development, including how themes and plugins are structured.
• Basic understanding of PHP fundamentals and how they apply to WordPress.
