Job Description
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities in the commercial kitchen equipment sector. This role involves building strong relationships with key decision-makers in the hospitality, foodservice, and institutional sectors (e.g., restaurants, hotels, catering companies, hospitals, etc.), while maintaining and growing existing accounts. The BDM will drive revenue growth by promoting a range of kitchen equipment solutions and services.
- Lead Generation & Sales:
- Identify and target new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, industry events, and digital outreach.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients including chefs, kitchen consultants, restaurant owners, procurement heads, and contractors.
- Understand customer needs and recommend tailored equipment solutions.
- Follow up post-sale to ensure customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or repeat business.
- Market Research & Strategy:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer behavior to inform business development strategies.
- Identify emerging market segments and evaluate potential for expansion.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales strategies with current market demand.
- Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with design, engineering, and operations teams to ensure timely delivery and installation of equipment.
- Assist in preparing tender documents, RFQs, and proposals for large-scale projects.
- Reporting & Administration:
- Maintain accurate sales pipelines, CRM updates, and activity reports.
- Provide regular updates and forecasts to management.
