Job Title:-CNC Programmer cum Operator

Job Summary:-

The CNC Programmer cum Operator is responsible for programming, setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision components as per engineering drawings and quality standards. The role combines hands-on machine operation with CNC programming to ensure efficient, accurate, and safe production.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs using G-code/M-code as per job requirements
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
• Set up CNC machines (lathe/milling/machining center) including tooling, fixtures, and offsets
• Operate CNC machines to produce components within specified tolerances
• Perform first-off inspection and in-process quality checks using measuring instruments
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary program or setup adjustments
• Ensure proper machine maintenance, lubrication, and cleanliness
• Reduce cycle time and minimize material wastage through process improvement
• Follow safety rules, company procedures, and quality standards
• Maintain production records and reports as required
• Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams

Required Skills & Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical, CNC Machining, or related field
• Proven experience as a CNC Programmer and Operator
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming (Fanuc / Siemens / Haas / Mazatrol – as applicable)
• Hands-on experience with CNC turning and/or milling machines
• Good understanding of cutting tools, materials, feeds, and speeds
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of CAD/CAM software (preferred)
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail

Experience:-

• 1–5 years of relevant CNC programming and operating experience
• Working Conditions Shop-floor / manufacturing environment
• Shift-based work as required
• Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Production accuracy and quality
