Design Engineer

We are looking for a Design Engineer – Mechanical with knowledge of 2D/3D Process Equipment Design to support the design and development of equipment and systems used in pharma manufacturing. The candidate will be responsible for preparing design drawings, supporting production, and ensuring compliance with pharma industry standards such as GMP and hygienic design practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies and equipment used in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models using design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar tools.
• Understand pharma manufacturing processes.
• Develop GA drawings, fabrication drawings and BOM (Bill of Materials).
• Coordinate with production, quality and procurement teams for smooth manufacturing.
• Ensure designs meet GMP, safety and hygiene standards required in pharma industries.
• Provide technical support to production teams during fabrication and assembly.
• Conduct design modifications and improvements to optimize manufacturing efficiency.
• Assist as a technical support during equipment installation, testing and commissioning when required.
• Maintain proper design documentation and revision records with change control for the new product development.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles.
• Understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Proficiency in 3D design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Cadmio, or similar).
• Ability to prepare fabrication drawings and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of SS fabrication, piping layouts and process equipment design.
• Basic understanding of GMP, hygiene design and pharma compliance standards.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Experience

• Experience working Min 1–2 years with pharma equipment manufacturing or pharmaceutical production support will be preferred.

Preferred Knowledge

• Pharmaceutical Process equipment such as reactors, vessels, mixers, dryers, filters, process skids and etc.
• Understanding of process piping and utility layouts
