Job Title: Drilling Fitter

Job Summary

A Drilling Fitter is responsible for assembling, maintaining, and repairing drilling equipment and machinery used in operations such as mining, construction, or oil & gas drilling. The role ensures all mechanical systems function safely and efficiently.

• Key Responsibilities
• Assemble, install, and dismantle drilling machinery and equipment
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on drilling rigs
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs
• Replace worn or damaged components (bearings, seals, valves, etc.)
• Ensure proper lubrication and alignment of moving parts
• Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
• Assist in rig-up and rig-down operations
• Maintain tools and ensure a clean, safe working environment
• Follow safety procedures and company guidelines at all times
• Required Skills & Qualifications
• ITI / Diploma in Fitter, Mechanical, or related field
• Experience in drilling, mining, or heavy machinery maintenance preferred
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
• Basic understanding of welding and fabrication (preferred)
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Experienced
• Fresher or 1–5 years of relevant experience (depending on requirement)
• Working Condition's
• Work may involve outdoor and site-based environments
• Rotational shifts or long working hours may be required
• Physically demanding role (lifting, standing, climbing rigs)
• Salary Range
• Depends on experience and industry (typically ₹15,000 – 17,000/month in India)
