Job Title: Production Engineer – Power Pack Manufacturing

Job Summary:-

The Production Engineer – Power Pack Manufacturing is responsible for planning, executing, and improving production activities related to hydraulic power packs and associated assemblies. The role focuses on production planning, assembly supervision, testing coordination, quality control, and process improvement to ensure timely and cost-effective manufacturing.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and monitor daily production of hydraulic power packs and sub-assemblies
  • Supervise assembly, piping, wiring, and testing activities on the shop floor
  • Ensure production as per drawings, BOM, hydraulic schematics, and SOPs
  • Coordinate with design, purchase, stores, and quality teams for smooth production flow
  • Ensure correct selection and usage of hydraulic components (pumps, valves, motors, manifolds, tanks, filters, etc.)
  • Monitor testing and trial runs of power packs before dispatch
  • Implement process controls to maintain quality and reduce rework
  • Prepare and maintain production reports and job cards
  • Control production schedules to meet delivery timelines
  • Identify production bottlenecks and implement improvements
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Support new power pack builds and custom project requirements
  • Optimize manpower and machine utilization
  • Handle root cause analysis of assembly or performance issues


Required Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems and power pack assembly
  • Ability to read hydraulic circuits and mechanical drawings
  • Understanding of pumps, motors, valves, manifolds, and filtration systems
  • Familiarity with pressure testing and performance testing procedures
  • Knowledge of fabrication, piping, and industrial assembly practices
  • Basic understanding of electrical control panels for power packs
  • ERP / production planning software knowledge

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s / Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering


Preferred Experience

  • Experience in hydraulic equipment manufacturing
  • Knowledge of ISO quality systems
  • Exposure to testing benches and hydraulic troubleshooting
  • Lean manufacturing / 5S implementation experience.
