Field Service Engineer

Job Summary:

The Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Laser Marking and Dot Printing Machines at customer sites. The role requires a strong technical background, hands-on experience with electromechanical systems, and a customer-oriented approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation & Commissioning:
• Perform installation and setup of laser marking and dot peen marking machines.
• Ensure proper calibration and performance verification after installation.
• Service & Maintenance:
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance as per service schedules.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software-related issues.
• Replace faulty components and ensure machine uptime.
• Customer Support:
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers.
• Train customers on machine operation, maintenance, and safety practices.
• Maintain positive relationships and ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain service reports, installation checklists, and maintenance logs.
• Report recurring issues or potential product improvements to the technical team.
• Coordination:
• Collaborate with sales and production teams for technical support.
• Coordinate with vendors or OEMs for spares and technical assistance.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Experience: 1–5 years of experience in servicing industrial automation, laser marking, or printing machines.

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of laser marking systems, galvo heads, and fiber laser sources.
• Familiarity with dot peen marking systems, pneumatic/electromagnetic components.
• Understanding of PLCs, motion control, and software interfaces.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical schematics.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls.
• Willingness to travel extensively.
