Job Description
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders.
- Set up tools, chucks, and workpieces on lathe machines (conventional or CNC).
- Perform operations such as facing, turning, threading, boring, tapering, and grooving.
- Ensure proper dimensions using measuring instruments like vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Maintain tool sharpness and replace worn tools as necessary.
- Monitor machine operation and ensure part quality and production efficiency.
- Perform preventive maintenance and basic machine troubleshooting.
- Maintain a clean and safe working area in compliance with company safety norms.
- Record job data, production logs, and inspection results.
