Footwear Sales Advisor

Role Summary

The Footwear Sales Associate is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, understanding customer needs, and recommending suitable footwear options across categories such as sports, casual, formal, and kids. The role ensures strong product knowledge, sales achievement, and adherence to Shoppers Stop service standards while maintaining an organized and visually appealing section.

• Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service
• Greet customers and understand their specific footwear requirements (purpose, fit, comfort, size).
• Provide guidance on product features—materials, cushioning, arch support, durability, etc.
• Assist customers in trying footwear, ensuring correct fit and comfort.
• Provide after‑sales support and address customer concerns politely and professionally

• Sales & Revenue
• Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets set for the footwear section.
• Promote ongoing offers, new launches, and high‑margin products.
• Cross‑sell accessories such as socks, insoles, shoe care kits, and related items.
• Convert walk-ins into sales through effective engagement and product positioning.

• Product Knowledge
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all footwear categories—sports, lifestyle, casual, formal, ethnic, and kids.
• Stay updated on latest trends, technologies, and brand USP (e.g., cushioning types, materials, outsole technologies).
• Attend brand trainings and demonstrate strong understanding during customer conversations.

• Merchandising & Display
• Maintain proper display of footwear as per planogram and visual merchandising guidelines.
• Ensure size availability on shelves and backroom; maintain stock discipline.
• Keep the footwear area clean, organized, and visually appealing.
• Ensure proper signage, price tags, and promotional communication

• Stock & Operational Responsibilities
• Conduct stock checks, report shortages/damages, and prompt replenishment.
• Assist in fresh stock unpacking, tagging, and arrangement.
• Follow SOPs for inventory, billing coordination, and customer handling.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards at the footwear section

• Customer Relationship Management
• Capture customer preferences for future recommendations.
• Build repeat clientele by offering excellent service and follow‑ups when needed.
• Support customer exchanges or queries related to usage and care.

• Education & Experience
• Minimum 12th pass; Graduation preferred
• 1–2 years of experience in retail sales, preferably footwear or fashion
• Freshers with good communication skills can be considered
