Job Description
The Senior HR Executive will own end-to-end HR operations, focusing on recruitment, onboarding, attendance management, employee documentation, conflict resolution, performance and recognition programs, culture-building initiatives, and new-hire verification/investigation. This role requires a proactive, process-driven professional who thrives in a hands-on environment and can partner with leadership to drive people-first outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Operations & Recruitment
- Lead end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for 20-30 employees across roles, from job posting and screening to interviewing, offer, and onboarding.
- Develop and implement robust hiring processes, interview guides, and selection criteria.
- Manage new hire verification, background checks, reference checks, and employment history validation where applicable.
- Collaborate with department heads to forecast staffing needs and create talent pipelines.
- Attendance & HR Administration
- Maintain accurate daily attendance records; oversee leave management, overtime, and attendance policy compliance.
- Ensure timely payroll inputs and reconciliation in coordination with finance (where applicable).
- Maintain and organize all employee records and HR documents in compliance with local laws and company policy (digital and physical files as required).
- Employee Relations & Culture
- Address and resolve employee conflicts with a fair, confidential, and consistent approach.
- Implement recognition and reward programs; coordinate employee appreciation initiatives.
- Promote a positive, ethical workplace culture aligned with company values and lab safety standards.
- Support performance management processes, including goal setting, mid-year/year-end reviews, and skill development plans.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulatory requirements; maintain up-to-date HR policies and procedures.
- Manage employee certifications, trainings, and expiry tracking; coordinate renewal or re-certification as needed.
- Ensure proper documentation for separations, exits, and exit interviews.
- Partnerships & Reporting
- Act as the point of contact for employees on HR-related questions; provide timely guidance and support.
- Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports for leadership review (recruitment metrics, attrition, employment costs, attendance trends).
- Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and employee satisfaction.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of HR experience with a strong emphasis on HR operations, recruitment, and employee relations; experience in a lab or scientific environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with local labor laws, payroll processes, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage attendance, leave, and HR documentation for a small-to-mid-sized workforce.
- Strong investigation, conflict-resolution, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HRIS/attendance systems; ability to adapt to new HR software quickly.
- High integrity, discretion, and a respectful approach to sensitive information.
