Junior Project Engineer - Solar

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Senior Project Engineer in execution of ground-mounted solar projects from planning to commissioning.

• Support supervision of civil, mechanical, and electrical installation works at project sites.

• Monitor daily site activities and ensure work is carried out as per project drawings and specifications.

• Coordinate with site supervisors, contractors, and vendors for smooth execution of project activities.

• Assist in manpower deployment and site resource planning to ensure timely project progress.

• Maintain daily progress reports, site records, and documentation related to project execution.

• Help in monitoring material usage, site inventory, and coordination with the procurement/logistics team.

• Conduct routine site inspections to ensure quality standards and safety practices are followed.

• Support implementation of HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) guidelines at the project site.

• Assist in reviewing technical drawings, layouts, and BOQs as per project requirements.

• Coordinate with design and engineering teams for resolving technical issues at site.

• Support preparation of weekly/monthly progress reports and MIS for management review.

• Assist in project testing, commissioning, and final handover activities.

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of solar PV systems, ground mount structures, and electrical balance of systems (BOS).

• Understanding of site execution processes for civil, mechanical, and electrical works.

• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel.

• Knowledge of solar design tools such as PVsyst or Helioscope will be an added advantage.

• Good communication and coordination skills for working with site teams and contractors.

• Willingness to travel and work at remote project sites.

• Strong learning attitude, problem-solving ability, and commitment to safety and quality.
