Junior Sourcing Executive – PPC (Textile)

We are looking for a Junior Sourcing Executive – PPC to support sourcing, vendor coordination, and production planning activities for suiting and shirting fabrics. The candidate will assist in raw material procurement, production tracking, and vendor communication to ensure timely fabric production and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing & Procurement

Assist in sourcing yarn, greige fabric, dyes, chemicals, and accessories required for fabric production.

Coordinate with mills, weaving units, dyeing & finishing units for order placement.

Obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, and compare supplier offers.

Maintain vendor database and develop new supplier relationships.

Production Planning & Control (PPC)

Support PPC team in production scheduling and order planning.

Track fabric weaving, dyeing, finishing, and dispatch status.

Ensure production timelines are followed to meet delivery commitments.

Monitor stock levels of yarn and grey fabrics.

Vendor Coordination

Follow up with weaving units, processors, and job workers for production updates.

Coordinate with suppliers to ensure quality and delivery timelines.

Handle sample development and approvals.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain purchase orders, sourcing records, and production reports.

Prepare daily/weekly production status reports.

Maintain fabric specifications such as count, blend, PPI, reed, GSM, etc.

Quality & Compliance

Ensure fabric quality meets required specifications.

Coordinate with QC team for fabric inspection and approvals.

Required Skills

Basic knowledge of textile fabrics (Suiting & Shirting)

Understanding of yarn count, blend, weave, GSM, PPI

Good vendor coordination and negotiation skills

Strong communication and follow-up ability

Basic Excel and reporting skills

Educational Qualification

Diploma / B.Tech / B.E in Textile Engineering

OR

Graduate with Textile Industry Experience
