Position Overview

The Kitchen Helper supports the smooth operation of the kitchen by assisting chefs and cooks with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with hygiene standards. This role is essential for keeping the kitchen organized, efficient, and safe.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in basic food preparation (washing, peeling, chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients).
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Ensure proper storage of food items and monitor stock levels.
• Dispose of waste and follow recycling/segregation procedures.
• Support chefs and cooks during busy service hours.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
• Uphold kitchen organization and assist in inventory management.
