Job Summary

The Lab Chemist / QC Chemist is responsible for performing chemical analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. The role involves laboratory testing, documentation, instrument handling, and supporting production and quality assurance teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform chemical analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
• Conduct routine laboratory tests using standard testing methods and SOPs.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as:
• 
  
• HPLC
• GC
• UV Spectrophotometer
• pH Meter
• Karl Fischer Titrator
• Prepare chemical reagents, standard solutions, and calibration standards.
• Record and maintain accurate laboratory data and reports.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and GMP practices.
• Assist in method development, validation, and troubleshooting analytical issues.
• Support investigations of out-of-specification (OOS) results.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness and proper chemical storage.
• Coordinate with production and QA teams for quality monitoring.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques
• Familiarity with laboratory instruments and testing procedures
• Understanding of ISO, GMP, and quality systems
• Good documentation and reporting skills
• Basic knowledge of chemical safety and laboratory practices
• Problem-solving and analytical thinking

Preferred Skills

• Experience in chemical manufacturing or pharmaceutical QC lab
• Knowledge of instrument calibration and maintenance
• Familiarity with LIMS or laboratory data management systems
