Job Title: Purchase Executive

JOB SUMMARY

The Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, products, and services required by the organization. The role ensures cost-effectiveness, quality standards, and timely delivery while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers/vendors.
• Obtain quotations and negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
• Coordinate with internal departments (stores, production, finance, etc.) to determine purchasing needs.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
• Ensure materials received meet quality standards and specifications.
• Resolve supply, quality, or invoice discrepancies.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
• Track market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing role.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Good knowledge of procurement procedures and inventory management.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
