Purchase Executive

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Executive to manage procurement activities, vendor coordination, and ensure timely availability of materials at the best quality and price. The role involves handling purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, maintaining inventory levels, and supporting the smooth functioning of operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to obtain competitive prices, quality products, and timely deliveries.
• Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with stores/warehouse for replenishment.
• Follow up with vendors regarding delivery schedules and ensure timely receipt of goods.
• Coordinate with internal departments (production, accounts, logistics, etc.) to understand material requirements.
• Conduct regular market research to identify new suppliers, products, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and quality requirements.
• Assist in audits related to procurement and inventory.

Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in procurement/purchasing (industry-specific experience preferred).
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Knowledge of vendor management, purchase cycle, and inventory management.
• Proficiency in MS Office; ERP experience is an added advantage.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure.
