We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Purchase Engineer to join our procurement team. The Purchase Engineer will play a critical role in identifying and sourcing reliable suppliers both from India and globally. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of mechanical spare parts and a keen eye for quality materials. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, market research capabilities, and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers of mechanical spare parts from India and around the world.
• Conduct thorough market research to stay updated on industry trends and supplier performance.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to ensure the best value without compromising on quality.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, quality standards, and production capacities.
• Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure all procured parts meet required standards and specifications.
• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing.
• Manage procurement processes, including purchase orders, invoices, and payment terms.
• Maintain accurate records of supplier information, contracts, and transactions.
• Work closely with other departments to understand their needs and provide timely procurement support.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize the procurement process and reduce costs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in the mechanical spare parts industry.
• Strong knowledge of various types of mechanical spare parts and materials.
• Excellent understanding of quality standards and material specifications.
• Proficient in market research and supplier evaluation techniques.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to travel as needed to visit suppliers and attend industry events.
