Job Description
Job Title: Sales Executive – Construction Industry
Job Summary
The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving sales growth by identifying new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with contractors, builders, developers, consultants, and project owners, and promoting the company’s construction-related products or services. The role requires strong market knowledge, negotiation skills, and the ability to close deals in a competitive environment.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the construction sector
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, architects, consultants, developers, and project managers
- Promote and sell construction materials, equipment, or services to meet sales targets
- Conduct site visits, client meetings, and product presentations
- Prepare and submit sales proposals, quotations, and tenders
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms with clients
- Track market trends, competitor activities, and upcoming construction projects
- Coordinate with internal teams (technical, procurement, logistics, finance) to ensure smooth order execution
- Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and reports
- Ensure timely collection of payments and follow up on outstanding dues
- Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Sales Executive in the construction industry
- Strong understanding of construction materials, processes, and project cycles
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and meet sales targets
- Willingness to travel to project sites and client locations
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software
- Preferred Skills
- Existing network within the construction industry
- Experience with B2B sales and tender-based projects
